Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities are recorded on the institution's books at the same value available to the donor for tax deduction purposes. This is the mean value, the average between the high and low trading prices on the effective date of the gift. The effective date of the gift and its subsequent charitable deduction is the date the stock is credited to the account of the recipient institution.

Matching Gift

To find out if your company has a matching gift program, simply contact your Human Resources Office or click here.
We estimate that there are thousands of dollars that are available to SHU through matching gift programs and it will only take a few more minutes of your time to multiply the impact of your support.
To begin the process, simply obtain a matching gift form from your company’s matching gift coordinator. In most companies, this person is in the Human Resources Office.
