Accommodations Process

Sacred Heart University students who are considering requesting accommodations must first complete the online request for accommodations via the Accommodate Portal. Appropriate documentation (see Documentation Guidelines) can be uploaded to this form, or submitted to the Office of Special Learning Services (OSLS) via mail, fax or email. The requesting student should then meet with the OSLS Accommodation Specialist or Assistant Director in order to discuss their request. At this meeting, the OSLS staff member will discuss appropriate accommodations for the post-secondary environment with the student. Please note-appropriate accommodations are based on a student’s documented functional limitations in an academic setting.
