The workshops being offered for the month can be found in the email that is sent to the SHU community or on the form on the Computer Literacy and Training Programs page. Workshop descriptions can be found on the links on the left side of the page. If you cannot make any of the scheduled workshops, we do offer one on one training sessions.
Individual Training Sessions
Individual sessions can be held either on site or virtually via WebEx and are available to faculty, staff, and students. They are about an hour in length but this can vary depending on the topic. The topics offered for individual trainings are as follows:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Blackboard (Instructors and Students)
- Echo 360 / Personal Capture
- Google Apps Suite
If your software isn't listed, you can still send in a request. However, if we are unable to train you on your requested tool, we will direct you to the proper contact to the best of our ability.
*Note to participants, all training is meant to help you learn how to use a tool. For information about course pedagogy, please contact the Office of Digital Learning. If you are a student, please reach out to your instructor if you have questions regarding things specific to an assignment*
If you would like to schedule an individual session, you can contact the Office of Instructional Technology either by email at email@example.com or by phone at 203-365-4799. If you cannot make a scheduled individual session, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can reopen the time slot to others who may need assistance.
