Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, Connecticut, is the second-largest Catholic university in New England. The School of Nursing is seeking applicants whose primary teaching responsibilities will be in the baccalaureate program. The thriving undergraduate program has over 250 students. Some teaching at the graduate level and dissertation advisement might be required.
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:
- Doctorate of Nursing or a related field required. (Candidates completing their doctorate by May 2014 are invited to apply)
- Previous experience in nursing higher education desired
- Clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Mental Health Nursing
- Medical Surgical Nursing
- Maternal Child Health Nursing

The School of Nursing is accredited by the CCNE. At the graduate level the department offers Doctor of Nursing Practice, MSN with tracks in administration, family nurse practitioner, nursing education, and clinical nurse leader. Undergraduate Programs include a first professional degree program and RN to BSN/MSN.
