Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, Connecticut, is the second-largest Catholic university in New England. The School of Nursing is seeking applicants whose primary teaching responsibilities will be teaching the laboratory and clinical skills in the baccalaureate program. The thriving undergraduate program has over 250 students. We are planning to fill this exciting new, full time, ten month position with an individual who has the clinical background that meet our program needs.
We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:
• Master of Science in Nursing or a related field required. (Candidates completing their Master’s degree by May 2014 are invited to apply)
• Previous experience as a clinical or lab instructor of nursing preferred
• Current clinical knowledge and maintenance of clinical skills
• Clinical expertise in medical surgical nursing preferred
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff, faculty, and students
• Strong commitment to student success
• Strong commitment to innovation, collaboration, and quality

The School of Nursing is accredited by the CCNE. At the graduate level the department offers Doctor of Nursing Practice, MSN with tracks in administration, family nurse practitioner, nursing education, and clinical nurse leader. Undergraduate Programs include a first professional degree program and RN to BSN/MSN.
