Applications are invited for a full-time, 9 month tenure-track faculty position to begin in August 2016 in the Department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Science. The position includes teaching, service and scholarship responsibilities within the Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science program.
The ideal candidate will have:
An earned doctorate relevant to exercise science such as exercise physiology, strength & conditioning, or human performance in addition to professional and/or clinical experience with patients/clients, supervisory/teaching experience in higher education, and professional certification (e.g. ACSM EP-C). The candidate should be comfortable in a highly interactive teaching/learning environment that includes collaborative teaching, significant faculty/student interaction, interdisciplinary scholarship and strong clinical integration. Responsibilities will include teaching exercise science courses, student advisement, relevant scholarship, and University service.
The Department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences houses the undergraduate programs in Athletic Training (BS) and Exercise Science (BS) and graduate programs in Physical Therapy (DPT) and Exercise Science and Nutrition (MS). The Department supports both a motion analysis and human performance laboratory and operates a variety of clinical services in athletic training, exercise science and physical therapy.
