Rob Coloney serves as Director of Career Placement, Jack Welch College of Business. In this role, Rob assists Welch College of Business students with resume development, interviewing, job search strategy, and graduate school planning. Additionally, he builds and maintains employer relationships and works directly with the Welch Experience and the Office for Alumni Engagement.
Rob joined Sacred Heart in October 2012 after earning a full-time position with the New York Yankees in 2009 while he was still an undergraduate student at SHU. Although Rob left the team full-time, he still maintains a part-time relationship with the organization in their Scoreboard & Broadcasting department as on-air talent within the Stadium.
Rob is committed to excellence and the people who make up our great community. Rob spends a lot of his time in and around campus, serving as the Varsity Girls Basketball coach at Wilton High School in Wilton, CT, and also assists with University athletic events as a broadcaster. Rob has a passion for Sacred Heart because of the positive experience he had here (especially as it relates to career placement), and he does his best to effectively communicate all that SHU has to offer to each student he speaks with.
Rob is a two-time graduate of Sacred Heart University, with a B.A. in Media Studies, and an MBA in Business Administration within the Jack Welch College of Business.
