Alumni Collection

The Ryan Matura library and the Office of Alumni Engagement are pleased to announce the creation of a Sacred Heart University Alumni Collection. The library will accept books authored by Alumni that reasonably support the curriculum, interest, and mission of Sacred Heart University. The alumni collection’s purpose is to foster deeper relationships with alumni, students, and the University as a whole while showcasing the writing accomplishments of our alumni.

Alumni Collection Process

  • Step 1

    Alumni Authors submit an Alumni Collection Form (below) which is reviewed by the Ryan Matura library Collection Librarian and the Office of Alumni Relations.

  • Step 2

    Authors are contacted directly, and if the book is accepted, are asked to send their donated book to the Office of Alumni Relations at 5151 Park Avenue Fairfield, CT 06825-1000. The book is then passed on to the library for cataloging.

  • Step 3

    A book plate is then placed in the book noting the Alumnus’ name and class year and the book is placed in  a special “Alumni Collection” area for all to access.
