"I love the professors and students and am very fortunate to be so involved in the SHU community. My professional goal is to become an accountant or have a job in Finance. The business school has a top reputation and many of the professors have provided exposure to the real world and used their connections to recruit from the school. I enjoy being a participant of club sports, especially SHU hockey and intramural sports, as well as a member of the accounting club and being an RSA of residential life. I am so grateful and privileged to have received this generous scholarship. I would like to take the time to thank you and your family for giving back to the community and helping me achieve academic excellence!"

Major: Interdisciplinary Studies
"My favorite thing about SHU is the friendships I've made and the community of support. I love that I can always see familiar faces and yet continue to meet new people from all different walks of life. I plan to be an elementary teacher and my major in Interdisciplinary Studies is preparing me for everything I need to know before jumping into classrooms. My minor of religious studies is not only interesting, but I get to use it when I go back to work at the Catholic elementary school I attended. Thank you for such a generous gift to my education. Schooling is really important to me and as a future teacher I believe in the continued access to schooling and the opportunity to expand knowledge. This scholarship has allowed me to pay for my books more comfortably and for that I am so thankful. This scholarship has also allowed me to work less hours and focus more on school, which is always my first priority.'

Major: Nursing
"I love SHU because it is such a welcoming, loving community. I also love that it is a smaller University, so we really get to know each other and all the organizations on campus. As a current senior, I am incredibly sad to leave, but also incredibly thankful for my time at SHU and for everything that I have learned during my time here. My professional goal is to become a registered nurse, hopefully in pediatrics or in the emergency room. I have always loved helping others, and I can't wait to graduate and use my compassion to give care to patients every day. I have always wanted to be a nurse and I am so excited that in just a few short months I can start achieving my professional goals. I am in the Delta Zeta sorority and part of Habitat for Humanity. I am going on my second spring break trip with this organization this year, and I absolutely love giving back to the community and being able to help those less fortunate. I also studied abroad for one week in Guatemala with the nursing program, which was the best experience of my life. We held clinics for different villages, delivered water filters to families and taught young girls about puberty. Without this scholarship, I may not have had the opportunity to go on the service trips or afford my textbooks and other nursing school costs. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness. Thank you again, I appreciate it so much."

"I love everything about Sacred Heart University! As a member of the Division I soccer team, I love SHU on and off the field and it is my second home. My sister also loved attending SHU! I am a finance and sport management double major with a minor in accounting. I have had several internships so far and am still deciding on what I want to do professionally. I hope to continue building my resume throughout my SHU career. I want to thank you so much for this scholarship. As a commuter, it means a lot to me and my family and we cannot thank you enough. Every little bit helps and this scholarship has helped my family greatly. Thank you so much for your generosity."
