"I absolutely love everything about Sacred Heart. My favorite thing about the SHU community is the people. The professors and all the other students are always so kind. They go out of their way to help someone if they need it and just really care about everyone.
While I am still undecided on a future career, I am considering becoming a criminal defense attorney or a probation officer since a probation officer works partly as a social worker and partly as an officer. I know for sure that I want a job in the criminal justice field that will help others. My classes here at SHU have helped me tremendously because at first I was on the fence about majoring in criminal justice, but now I am more than happy that I did. I love this field and I think it’s extremely interesting. I know our CJ system is flawed. My classes have shown me this is a very important field to go into because of the many problems and one day maybe I can change it for the better.
Since I commute, I am not on campus as much as I would like to be. I enjoy exercising and traveling. For six years, I have worked at the Little Pub in Wilton, where I get the chance to meet new people every day.
Thank you so very much for donating to this scholarship and awarding it to me this year. It really has helped me and my family tremendously. Your contribution inspires me to work that much harder in my classes so that I can make you and my family proud. My family and I are both very grateful and we cannot even begin to express how much we appreciate your generosity and kindness. Thank you so very much!"

"SHU has a warm and welcoming community. Professors are passionate about their work and are committed to a student's education. I love SHU's focus on every students' education and future.
I someday hope to make it in the tech field. For the past few years, SHU has been adding onto the computer science department, ensuring I get the education I need to prepare me for my career.
Outside of class, I tutor for math. I was very happy to find a rewarding job that related to what I had been learning in class.
I am so grateful to receive this gift. Knowing there are people who will help me get my education gives me the drive to work hard. It is because of people like Frank and Marisa that many students can get the opportunities they deserve."
