Application Information

The CT Challenge Scholarship Program is made available to Sacred Heart University students who are undergoing treatment for cancer or are a cancer survivor. Scholarships are offered in varying amounts to students with preference given to those with the greatest financial need. The scholarship applications will be reviewed by a University Scholarship Committee through Student Financial Assistance.

The scholarship provides partial coverage of tuition costs for one academic year; with the student having an opportunity for renewal provided they are a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing.

Applications will be accepted for the 2025-2026 academic year. The application deadline is June 15, 2025.

Requirements

• Complete and submit application to Student Financial Assistance
• Submit a 200 word personal statement regarding your challenge with cancer
• Be a registered full-time undergraduate during the 2025-26 academic year
• Must have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year
• The final candidate(s) will be requested to submit a Letter of Verification from their Oncologists
• The final candidate(s) will be requested to submit additional biographical information in the form of, but not limited to, a photo and video
