Merton, Donovan, Romero, Bergoglio. These are just some of the names that adorn the residence halls at Sacred Heart University. While many universities name their residence halls after significant donors, at Sacred Heart we honor those who have dedicated their lives to making a meaningful difference in the world - something we also encourage our students to do.
Outside each hall is a flag with an image of the person for whom it is named and a quote by that person. Inside is a framed print of the honoree with a biography highlighting his or her accomplishments. We hope this helps our students and visitors understand why each individual was selected for this honor.
Our goal is to name our residence halls after those who represent Sacred Heart University's mission: To prepare men and women to live in and make contributions to the human community.
