- Where do the shuttles go?
There are 8 shuttle routes:
- Park Ave
- Downtown Fairfield
- Fitness 4000
The Park Ave Route stops at the Pioneer Gardens, Park Ridge, and Oakwood residential areas. The Service Route makes stops at the Trumbull Mall and the Brookside Plaza providing access to Stop & Shop, Friendly’s, Marshalls, and many others. The Transit/Taft Route goes to the Taft Commons residential area and to the Bridgeport Transit Station, providing access to the MTA Train Station, the Bus Station, and the Long Island Ferry. The Black Rock/Transit Route will travel to the Bridgeport Transit Station as well as to the Black Rock Turnpike providing access to EMS, Coldstone, and much more. The Oakview/Cambridge Route makes stop at the Cambridge Campus and the Oakview Campus. The Downtown Fairfield Route will travel to the Sherman Town Green and the Fairfield Shopping Plaza. The Marriott Route provides transportation to the Trumbull Marriott, the Oakview Campus, and the Cambridge Campus. The Fitness 4000 shuttle is a continuous shuttle running from the Fitness 4000 off-campus parking site to the SHU campus.
- Where do I go to get on the Shuttle?
All shuttles depart from in front of the Edgerton Theatre. Please see schedule above for specific times.
- If I have a class at Oakview or Cambridge campus, which shuttle should I take?
You should take the Oakview/Cambridge shuttle, which departs from campus in front of the Edgerton Theatre every half hour (7:00am, 7:30am, 8:00am etc.). Please keep the arrival and departure times of the Oakview/Cambridge shuttle in mind when planning your class schedules.
- If I miss the shuttle will it come back and pick me up?
The Shuttle Service runs like a city bus, it has scheduled stops and can not deviate from the schedule. We ask all students to check the shuttle schedule and keep this mind when planning all trips as to avoid missing the shuttle. Please understand we are striving to provide the best service for all students, if a shuttle was sent back to pick up a student it may result in the shuttle getting off schedule which would leave other students waiting at stops.
- Does the Shuttle go to other colleges/universities or to the airport?
No, it does not. But the Transit Shuttle can take you to the Bridgeport Transit Station where you can take the MTA, Bus, or LI Ferry.
