New and Prospective Students
- When do I get my housing package?
For new students you will receive an email with information on your housing package. The emails are sent out in late spring/early summer.
- How do I pick my roommate?
Selecting your roommates are done with one “click”, that is Roommate Click. This is a service that helps Sacred Heart University students help select who they may live with. Log on to http://sacredheart.roommateclick.com/ to find out some more information.
- What do I need to bring with me when I move in?

- How are residence halls and apartments staffed?
Each residence halls are staffed with a Resident Hall Director (RHD). The responsibility of the RHD is to oversee all operations of their particular building and supervise the education and well being of the students assigned to them. Each hall is also staffed with a number of Resident Assistants (RAs). RAs are responsible with helping their residents on their particular floor. RAs take turns being on duty, which is described as being available each day, as well as making “rounds” throughout the building to ensure the well being of the residents.
- What is my mailing address at SHU?
The first thing you need to do is log on to your Blackboard account and find out what your Mailing Center (MC#) number is. Once you have that information, your mailing address is as follows:

- How can I get a package delivered to me?
In order to get a package delivered to you, use your mailing address, as listed in the prior question. Once the package has been delivered, you will receive an email from the Mail Center stating that your package has been delivered and that is ready to be picked up. The Mail Center is located below the University Commons on the ground floor.
