- What is the housing lottery?
Each student is given a lottery number, which are chosen at random. That number signifies your number in line of succession to select your housing for the following year. Usually students who already know who they are living with will use the roommate with the lowest number for Housing Selection night.
- When does the housing selection process start?
The process begins in February, when a series of Housing Selection meetings take place. At that time information is given to all students about the selection process. The next step is to have your housing deposit due to the Student Accounts Office by the beginning of March. The process will then continue in late March/early April with Housing Selection night, in which each class will have an opportunity to select their housing for the next academic year.
- What if I need to find someone to room with?
If you are in need of a roommate or roommates, you can log on to www.sacredheart.roommateclick.com to do so or contact the Office of Residential Life for more information.
- Do I have to put a housing deposit down?
Yes, a mandatory deposit is needed to reserve a space for you for housing selection. The deposit is $500 and is due to the Student Accounts Office by early March.
- What if I will be participating in study abroad next year?
If you are going to be a study abroad student in wither the Fall or Spring semester, contact the Study Abroad Office to obtain any housing forms you may need. Note: The Office of Residential Life will not hold any housing for students studying abroad in the Fall semester.
