First-year students along with University staff and faculty will spend eight days at Sacred Heart University’s site in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Dingle peninsula, students will be immersed in a journey complete with cultural excursions, archaeological tours, music, hiking, and interactions with the Irish-speaking locals. Throughout the program there will be opportunities for guided reflection to relate students’ experiences in Ireland to questions raised in The Human Journey, Sacred Heart University’s Common Core curriculum.
Students will earn one academic credit for their participation

- August 19: Arrival and Move-In to SHU Campus in Fairfield
- August 20: Departure to Ireland
- August 27: Return to U.S. and SHU Campus in Fairfield
