This exciting program has been designed specifically for parents/guardians and incoming first-year students to help you make the transition to life at Sacred Heart University.
Each Orientation is limited in size, so please have your student register early. Registration will be available 24 hours after Undergraduate Admissions receives your student's deposit. Once your deposit is received, you will be sent an Orientation brochure in the mail, with more detailed information on our Orientation Program.
As a parent/guardian, you will be able to register online only after your student has registered. You will be asked to enter your student's ID number, and their last name. This will verify that your student has already registered. After doing so, you will automatically be assigned to the same Orientation as your student.
Please note that we have designed a separate series of events just for parent/guardians. There will be many sessions on topics such as Financial Assistance, Student Billing, Information Technology, Career Services, Varsity Athletics, Academic Support Services, Residential Life, Commuter Life and much more.
The cost for Parent Orientation is $45 per person. The cost includes admittance to meals, sessions, events and informational packet. For parents/guardians, we do provide on-campus housing at $30 per night per person. If you would prefer to stay in a hotel, please refer to the hotel listing on our website.
