Thank you for your interest in attending Sacred Heart University as a part time student. Below you will find more information that will help guide you through the part-time admissions process from start to finish. Application Deadlines

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis up until the first day of a new start term.

Hand Deliver:

Drop off transcripts at Curtis Hall in a sealed envelope directly from the school.

Financial Aid

If you have not begun the financial aid application process, you can get started by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Enter our school code, 001403, on your application and we will automatically receive a copy.

Once you are accepted into Sacred Heart University, visit SHUawards. To activate your account, enter your seven-digit Student ID number found at the top of your acceptance letter and follow the prompts to create your PIN. This will allow you to monitor your award and review required information and pending documents or forms.

Please allow 7-10 business days for your information to be sent from admissions to the financial aid office.

Credit Evaluations

Your credit evaluation will be completed by our Registrar’s Office after you are accepted to the University. The credit evaluation will be mailed or emailed to you once it is completed. These credits will be put on your official transcript at Sacred Heart once all official final college transcripts have been received and you have registered for classes.

A maximum of sixty-six (66) credits may be applied to a baccalaureate degree from a two-year college and a maximum of ninety (90) credits may be applied from a four-year college or university. The overall number of courses needed for a degree may exceed 120 credits.

If you’ve already earned 60 credits or more at another institution, we will waive our common core. CIT 202 Seminar will not be waived.

If there is a discrepancy with how a course transfers in, a syllabus must be submitted in order to re-review the course.
