The graduate program to which you are applying will require additional information that you must submit to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Typical required application items include official transcripts of all college/university work, two letters of recommendation, and a current resume. A letter of acknowledgment will be mailed to you once we have received your application form(s) to confirm what additional application materials will be required of you.

  • External Applicants (not currently enrolled at SHU): go to https://portal.otcas.org/ to apply
    If applying through OTCAS, all application materials need to be mailed directly to this organization and the address and instructions will be emailed to you from this service once you submit your application online.

  • SHU Undergraduate Students: apply online using the SHU Graduate MSOT application
    • Fill out the account creation form at the bottom then continue to the MSOT application
    • Once you submit the SHU application, you will receive an email with a link to your student portal to submit your letters of recommendation and resume as well as a link for your SHU transcript request form. If you took courses outside of SHU, you need to request a second set of official transcripts be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions.  Your undergraduate file needs to remain intact, so you need to request another set of transcripts for your graduate file.

Doctorate

  • External Applicants (not currently enrolled at SHU): Please go to the Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service https://portal.ptcas.org/ to apply.  
    If applying through PTCAS, all application materials need to be mailed directly to this organization and the address and instructions will be emailed to you from this service once you submit your application online.
  • Current SHU Undergraduate Students ONLY: Please go to the SHU Graduate DPT application to apply. Fill out the account creation form then continue to the DPT application. 
    Once you submit the SHU application, you will receive an email with a link to your student portal to submit your letters of recommendation and resume as well as a link for your SHU transcript request form. If you took courses outside of SHU, you need to request a second set of official transcripts be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions.  Your undergraduate file needs to remain intact, so you need to request another set of transcripts for your graduate file.

Once the Office of Graduate Admissions receives your completed application (PTCAS or SHU), The Physical Therapy Admissions Committee will review your file.

Completing your application, requesting materials and initial review may take you more time than you anticipate, so please apply very early, do not wait for the final deadline.
