POSITION TITLE: Teacher's Assistant		Date: Sept 2012 - May 2013
DIVISION: Mission and Catholic Identity
DEPARTMENT: Volunteer Programs
REPORTS TO: Maura Cook
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is perfect for students pursuing a career in education, or anyone interested in community service and working with children. Teacher's Assistants will work with children in grades K-8 within the Bridgeport School District.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): Working one-on-one with a child who needs extra help Assisting classroom teachers in lesson implementation Accomplishing administrative duties as needed (photocopying, filing, etc.)
EXPECTED HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must enjoy working with children and be willing to work in an urban setting Consistency is required

POSITION TITLE: Nonprofit Assistant		Date: Sept 2012 - May 2013
DIVISION: Mission and Catholic Identity
DEPARTMENT: Volunteer Programs
REPORTS TO: Maura Cook
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is perfect for any student with an interest in community service. Nonprofit Assistants will work within a nonprofit organization within the greater Bridgeport community to fulfill the needs of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): Perform administrative duties (newsletter publications, mailings, photocopying, filing) Assisting customers and clients as needed Locations can include Bridgeport schools, Habitat for Humanity, Lighthouse Programs, etc.
EXPECTED HOURS: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Some Saturdays may be available)
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing to work in an urban setting Candidates should be enthusiastic Consistency is required

POSITION TITLE: Afterschool Program Assistant		Date: Sept 2012 - May 2013
DIVISION: Mission and Catholic Identity
DEPARTMENT: Volunteer Programs
REPORTS TO: Maura Cook
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is perfect for students pursuing a career in education, or anyone interested in community service and working with children. Afterschool Program Assistants will work with children in grades K-8 within the Bridgeport School District, as a part of the Lighthouse Afterschool Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): Assist in the implementation of daily enrichment activities (i.e. dance, fitness, cooking, music, etc.) Tutoring students in need of academic assistance during assigned homework time Accomplishing administrative duties as needed (photocopying, filing, etc.)
EXPECTED HOURS: Monday through Friday 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
