POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Office Assistant Date: Sept 2012 - May 2013

REPORTS TO:  Kathy Adams/Michele Ellis
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is perfect for a student that would benefit from working in a business setting and is an excellent way to build up a resume.  Those in this position are will help work towards overall office goals and are responsible for performing general office duties in a business-like manner with efficiency and confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Benefits Responsibilities
  • Auditing benefits reports
  • Assembling benefits and retirement plan packages
  • Creating files, inventory of files
  • Internet Research
HR General Responsibilties
  • Filing and scanning as needed
  • Creating and updating documents and spreadsheets
  • Assembling new hire orientation kits and determining the quantity of materials needed
  • Assembling new employee policy handbooks
  • Organizing materials or information for major HR events, with the expectation to work/attend those events if schedule allows
  • Exposure and/or training on internal HR software applications as needed to assist in certain workflows (i.e. Interview Exchange)
EXPECTED HOURS:
Flexible to student's schedule.  Normal operating hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some administrative office experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented
  • Must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive materials which may be viewed or filed
