POSITION TITLE: Marketing and Communications Assistant
DIVISION: Marketing and Communications
DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Communications
REPORTS TO: Exec. Director Public Relations
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assist Exec. Director and Marcomm dept. with administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Conduct research on internet, update media files
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and maintenance of lists.
  • Develop and update mailing and email lists and execute mailings for dept.
  • Organize publications, fill book orders
EXPECTED HOURS:
Approximately 10-15 hours per week, but very flexible.

POSITION TITLE: Special Events Assistant
DIVISION: Marketing and Communications
DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Communications
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Events
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assist Director with details of organizing special events for university
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Conduct research, create and update computer files for Director of Special Events
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and maintenance of lists.
  • Put up posters at various locations at the university for events
  • Help maintain events calendar
  • Booking locations for events
  • Assist at events if available 
EXPECTED HOURS:
Approximately 15 hours per week, but very flexible.

POSITION TITLE: Marketing/Communications Assistant
DIVISION: Enrollment Marketing
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Communications
REPORTS TO: Alane Bikovsky, Director of Enrollment Marketing
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The University College Marketing Assistant position is an excellent opportunity for any student who is granted work study. This position is perfect for a student looking to challenge themselves and to expand their resumes. Students in this position are responsible for performing general office duties as well as assisting marketing director and staff to create a cohesive and smooth transition of day to day activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
  • Carry out Peer Marketing – Flyers, Table Tents, and Hand-outs
  • Perform a variety of Administrative Responsibilities (Including but not limited to data entry, general file maintenance, mailings, copying, and reception duties: greeting student/employers, etc.)
  • Research on local corporations
  • Competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Advertising tracking
  • Budgetary analysis
  • Acquisition and retention analysis
  • Campus errands
  • General office duties as assigned
EXPECTED HOURS:
Hours per week are determined based on work-study award amounts and are available 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedules will be worked out at the start of employment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
This role will involve significant interaction with other students, University College Staff, and employer. Office Aides must be:
  • Responsible and professional individuals, at any student level
  • Customer service oriented
  • Positive and resourceful with an ability to multi-task
  • Must show attention to detail
  • Skilled in MS Office
Currently, University College supervisors are hoping to fill this position with a graphic design major.
