Private Awards & Outside Scholarships

The Office of Student Financial Assistance encourages students to research outside sources of financial aid whether it be from civic organizations, corporations, or within their high school. The individual scholarships listed below provide a snapshot of requirements, contact information, and award amounts. Although these resources are recommended, students should use their own discretion when sharing any personal information. 

The Office of Student Financial Assistance recommends the following scholarship search websites:

Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Program - available to eligible veterans who have experienced unexpected financial difficulties that might cause them to drop out from school

  • $1,000 maximum award

Requirements

  • Applicant must be an honorably-discharged veteran or a spouse of a disabled veteran who has served in the United States military, including the Reserves and National Guard, and have received a Certificate of Eligibility from the Department of Veterans Affairs or another document of service
  • Applicant must use any military education benefits for which they are eligible
  • Applicant must submit a FAFSA and be considered PELL-eligible
  • Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

    • In your opinion, what can society do to improve the quality of life for seniors receiving care?
