It is important that students research outside sources of financial aid whether it be civic organizations, corporations, or within their high school. The websites listed below give a snapshot of requirements, contact information, and scholarship amounts. Although these sites are recommended, we ask that students use their own discretion when sharing any personal information.

Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Program

  • $1,000 maximum award

Requirements

  • Emergency grants are available to eligible veterans who have experienced unexpected financial difficulties that might cause them to drop out from school
  • Applicant must be an honorably-discharged veteran or a spouse of a disabled veteran who has served in the United States military, including the Reserves and National Guard, and have received a Certificate of Eligibility from the Department of Veterans Affairs or another document of service
  • Applicant must use any military education benefits for which they are eligible
  • Applicant must submit a FAFSA and be determined PELL-eligible
  • Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
