PROGRAMS | STAFF | DEADLINES

You will pay the cost of your program directly to Sacred Heart University. A confirmation fee is due two weeks after your acceptance into a SHU study abroad program. You will pay the remainder of your program costs directly to SHU Student Accounts. Please bear in mind that the OSA billing and refund cycles are based on the term payment dates set forth by Sacred Heart University. The SHU payment schedule is available on the Student Accounts website.

In some instances, you may have already departed for your program prior to the issuance of the billing for your term abroad. You are responsible for ensuring that your billing is accurate and paid on time. This also means that any financial aid refund you may receive would not be made available until the start of the term at SHU. Please plan accordingly to ensure that you will have adequate funding.

You will find the cost of your program listed on the individual program pages on this site as soon as they are available. If you are not certain as to the cost of your program, please contact our office. It is important for you to know what is included in the cost of your program. When you receive your bill for your term abroad, it will state your tuition, program fees, a study abroad fee, and a registration fee.

There may be additional fees for your program that are not billed directly by Sacred Heart University. Additional fees may include special programs offered at the host school, extra fees for science/fine arts courses at certain host institutions, or housing fees if your program fees do not include room and board. In some cases, you may be responsible for paying these fees directly to your Host University before or at the end of the program. If you have any questions about additional fees, please contact us.
