David N. Bloom, MBA
Instructor of Fashion Marketing & Merchandising
Mr. Bloom’s career in fashion/textile sales and management spanned over forty years, and during this period the textiles produced were used in swimwear, women’s intimate apparel, sleepwear, robes, children’s sleepwear, athletic wear, and home furnishings. Mr. Bloom was responsible for product development, customer service, inventory levels, and advertising and promotion. He also guided fashion merchandise sales in New York City as well as Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles. In addition, Mr. Bloom managed fashion sales agents in London, Paris, Montreal and Milan, and worked with suppliers and customers at conferences and fashion shows in Paris, Munich, Dusseldorf, and Milan.
Mr. Bloom developed and implemented the Fashion Marketing Concentration in the spring of 2009.

Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Mr. Bloom taught courses in fashion marketing, retailing, consumer behavior, and textile technology at Gibbs College in Norwalk and Farmington, Connecticut. In addition, he has taught Strategic Management and Policy in the New Dimensions division of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven.
