Networking

Networking:

Networking opportunities are one of the greatest strengths of the Welch Experience. It is important for our students to connect to key individuals who may provide developmental, internship, and career opportunities.

Throughout the semester, we host events designed to connect students to these key people. See our calendar for information on speakers, corporate visits, and other professional networking events.

Our annual Welch Cup Classic Golf Tournament is another networking opportunity, where each foursome of golfers consists of one faculty member, one student, one of our WCOB alumni, and one employer. Students often finish our tournament with information about internships and entry level positions…some students even leave with interview offers!

Our next big networking event is the Networking Etiquette Reception, which will be held on:

Monday, November 10, 2014 at 6:00pm in the University Commons

This free event includes employers, alumni, students, and favorite faculty members. Accompanied by the feedback of Etiquette Expert Robert Shutt, this event is designed to teach everyone present how to network in an environment where they are actually networking.
