Networking Events

Ask any successful business professional how they got to where they are. Chances are, their answer will include the names of other important people who helped to connect them, or put them in the “right place at the right time.”

Who are those people? How do you meet them? As fun as it may be to fill your network with other students your age, the key to growing a professional network is by getting to know more professionals. Faculty, Alumni, Employers and dedicated Sacred Heart University staff members are all interested and able to help connect good students to their future.

Many Welch Experience events are all about networking and meeting the people who could open doors for you—doors that you never knew existed. In addition, we will teach you how to network and interact. Each year, we offer events like the Networking Etiquette Reception, where students get networking tips from expert Robert Schutt as they actually network with faculty, staff, alumni, and employers during an evening of food and drink.

Each spring, we host an Etiquette Banquet, where students learn proper dining etiquette when eating with clients, or what to do when an interview includes dinner. This is another excellent opportunity to interact with faculty and staff, who join us for the dinner. This year’s dinner will be held in March. Check your weekly Welch Announcements for details.
