Some say it’s not just what you know, it’s who you know. At the Welch College of Business, we say it’s both!

Networking is without a doubt the most important thing a college student can do in his or her four years. Think of it this way: If a great internship opportunity arises, how will you know? A student with good social skills who attends events like our Networking Etiquette Events has a much better chance than a student with a 4.0 GPA who does not.

We offer many ways for our students to network, from Business Clubs and Organizations to interactive programs like our Living and Learning Community. We also offer special golf programs, including the Welch Cup Classic Tournament, where each foursome consists of 1 student, 1 faculty member, 1 alum, and one employer from the area.

One additional avenue provided to our students by the Welch Experience is called the Welch Spotlight, where each month, we highlight a different entrepreneurial student.
