MBA Students Work on Burr Mansion Revitalization Project

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Never let ‘em see you sweat is what business mentors will tell you, and four Sacred Heart University MBA students put that advice to the test recently as they presented their “Phase II Business Plan and Economic Impact Study of the Burr Mansion Revitalization” to a panel of executives and community leaders at the Fairfield Museum and History Center.
Goldman Sachs COO Cohn Speaks at New Finance Center Opening

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – On the heels of a visit from former General Electric Company Chairman & CEO Jack Welch and his wife, Suzy, Gary Cohn, the president and COO of investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs, stopped by for a “fireside chat” at Sacred Heart University, late Tuesday afternoon, April 28. Cohn’s visit coincided with the celebration of the opening of the new Finance Center, located in the University’s new Frank and Marisa Martire Business & Communications Center. More than 100 business students, faculty and SHU administrators gathered for the presentation.
Students Meet Consul General of Luxembourg

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A group of Sacred Heart University students who will be studying abroad in Luxembourg City this summer had the opportunity to meet with Jean-Claude Knebeler, the consul general of Luxembourg and executive director of the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office in New York. Mary Trefry, associate professor of management, introduced Knebeler, who was accompanied by colleagues Laurence Pierron, executive assistant to the consulate general of Luxembourg, and Brigitte Goergen, commercial attaché for the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office.
