Dr. Chalykoff comes to SHU from Boston University where he has served as associate dean since 2001. In that role, he was responsible for all academic programs for 2,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. He also oversaw the office of admissions, the career center and the International Management Program – and MBA program with locations in Beijing and Shanghai. In addition, he was responsible for the school’s ranking initiatives, the marketing department, globalization efforts, and he served as chair of the Senior Steering Committee for maintenance of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation.

Dr. Chalykoff’s work at BU has also included responsibility for the University’s flagship program, the MS-MBA; serving as faculty director of two custom programs for IBM Global; and serving as founder and director of the International Tech-Strategy Business Case Competition.

 

Before joining BU in 1999, Dr. Chalykoff was dean of the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John.

 

Dr. Chalykoff was selected after a lengthy search that included consideration of a number of highly qualified candidates. He will begin his new role effective July 1. His input will be critical to the success of our strategic plan, our mission and our goals.
