Dr. Moreira's expertise includes consumer insights, campaigning, promoting, and other educating concepts such as literacy, information processing, and learning, particularly in the health domain.
Health has been a topic of interest for Dr. Moreira due to his prior work as a professional athlete and his passion for sports. Although sports was one stream of his career, Dr. Moreira also worked multiple years with an American international banking and financial firm. Being a part of the International Business Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., he was a credit analyst for large international where his primary role was that of assessing financial statements and understanding organization’s credit worthiness and the risk of doing business. His career then led to sales of financial instruments and consulting at a managerial level.

Health practices and effective marketing are of primary research interest for Dr. Moreira. In a time of high health consciousness among society, promoting health practices through effective marketing is essential for personal sustainability. His doctoral dissertation investigated sensory marketing influence on short- and long-term health behavior motivation.
