In the business world, knowing the game of golf can open doors for young professionals. Imagine it is the second week of your first job, and your boss says,
“I have a tee-time this Saturday with our CEO and our top client. Can you join us?”
Don’t blow an opportunity to network with important people. Learn the game. It opens doors!

The Welch Cup Classic
Every Spring, we host our annual golf tournament, The Welch Cup Classic. This scramble-style tournament is an excellent networking event. Each foursome is comprised of one student, one faculty member, one of our alumni, and one local employer.
The 2017 Welch Cup Classic will be played at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course on Park Avenue in Fairfield on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Shotgun start is at 10:00am, please arrive no later than 9:30am.
The scramble style tournament is FREE of charge. A $20 deposit will be required to hold your spot on a team, and returned to you when you arrive on the morning of the tournament. This is a networking tournament in which each foursome consists of faculty, alumni, employer, and student players.
OUR TOURNAMENT IS CURRENTLY FULL. If you would like to sign up as an alternate, please email Sean Heffron at firstname.lastname@example.org. We often have openings near and on the day of the tournament, so alternates have a good chance of being placed on teams. Thank you!
