"Being a part of the honors program has made a huge impact on my life here at Sacred Heart. I have really enjoyed all of the honors classes I have taken so far and I have found them to be more engaging than some of my other electives. The fact that they are discussion-based classes keeps them really interesting because everyone's different opinions often give you a completely new perspective on the topic at hand. Being in an honors class does not mean its necessarily more work. I have gotten so much out of my honors classes because they have challenged me to think more critically and outside of the box instead of just memorizing key facts.
The honors program has also given me the opportunity to get much more involved within the Sacred Heart community. Being on the Honors Council since my Freshman year, I have made a lot of friends through the program. Now that I am the President, I am learning important leadership and communication skills that will absolutely help me later in life."

"I am in the honors program because I felt it was the push I needed to truly excel at Sacred Heart. Taking honors classes has allowed me to dive deeper into my academic life by pursuing my learning outside of the traditional classroom. The honors program has also developed my social experiences as I have created long-lasting friendships with other honors students that I've had the privilege of having class with over the course of my time at Sacred Heart."

"Entering the Thomas Honors program was a great decision. I was able to be placed in an environment where there were kids who shared my enthusiasm for learning. We also received a great dorm with a very nice study room. I was able to excel due to the challenging courses and each honors student was able and willing to help one another out."

"Becoming a member of the Thomas More Honors Program was a great decision I made at Sacred Heart. The Honors program has helped me learn how to balance my work, social life, and get involved. On top of that, I am challenged in the classroom and get to further my learning experience outside the class. This experience will help me throughout college and the rest of my life."
~Joe Erdos (Athletic Training, Class of 2015)
"As a commuter, becoming a member of the Thomas More Honors Program has given me the opportunity to participate in many activities and meet some amazing people that I wouldn’t have otherwise. I enjoy the social and service events that I feel privileged to plan and participate in. Also, the honors classes are among the best offered at Sacred Heart and I enjoy them more than my other electives. I feel very fortunate to consider myself a member of this prestigious Program."
~Danielle Utz (Finance/Economics, Class of 2014)
The nature of Honors classes is unique and stimulating. They are very discussion- based, and it keeps me interested and engaged in my learning. Also, it allows you to connect to more people since you often have class with the same students. The professors keep us challenged and stimulated, which is what I crave and love about being an Honors student."
