Program Application Steps

  • Fill out the online application to apply for admission.

  • Receive your confirmation email with an Applicant Id. Use this Applicant ID when paying for your Application and Testing fee.
  • Pay the Application and Testing fee.
  • Email all supporting documents below to esl@sacredheart.edu:

    • Copy of passport
      • Copy of U.S. visa, if any
      • Copy of previous I-20’s, if any
    • Copy of most recent completed degree certificate (high school or college diploma / transcript / academic record)
    • Bank statement / or / Affidavit of Support / or / Financial Guarantee with minimum balance of $5,000
      • If you have a sponsor, complete the Affidavit of Support form
      • If you are sponsored by your government, please upload your Financial Guarantee
    • Medical Record: Immunization Health Form

  • Once you receive your acceptance, a link will be sent to your email to prepay and schedule your I-20 shipment. (I-20’s will be processed within 15 business days from acceptance date)
    • All I-20 shipments are processed through Air Concepts (shipped via FedEx or DHL) and pre-paid by applicant.
    • Estimated shipping cost is usually $80 to most international locations.


  • Once you receive your I-20, you must consult the instructions available on the embassy or consulate website where you intend to apply and schedule your student visa.

  • Once your visa is approved and you book your flight. Please email esl@sacredheart.edu your flight information.

  • Travel to the U.S. and attend New Student Orientation
    • Language level placement testing and course registration and payment will be completed in person, at Orientation. Bring all supporting documents with you to orientation.
