Registration & Fees

Registration - Now Open!

NOTE: There are a limited number of places open for participants, so please register early. Spouses, partners, and friends are welcome to register for the two dinners without the necessity of full registration, but fully registered participants will have first choice. We expect approximately 80 papers, and our limit for lunches at the Skellig and the Blasket Centre is 120, and for the Wednesday night banquet will be approximately 140. Some participants may decide not to attend all sessions, lunches, or dinners.

Conference Fees

    General Registration:
    $254.00 [approximately €225.00]. After March 31, the registration fee will be $290 (€275)
    Graduate Student Registration: $135.00 (approximately € 125.00)

    In addition to attendance at all papers and presentations, the cost of general registration covers lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, tea and coffee breaks, transportation to sites on the Dingle peninsula for the Wednesday afternoon field trips, and many conference materials.

    Check-in for the conference will take place on Monday, June 5 from 2:00 - 4:30pm and Tuesday from 7:30 - 8:30 am in the lobby of the Skellig Hotel. Remember, the Skellig Hotel has a limited number of rooms, and will only hold them until mid-March with a conference discount.

  • BBQ at the Blasket Centre = $34.00 [approximately €30.00]
    On Tuesday evening at 5:00 pm a bus will depart for the Blasket Centre in Dún Chaoin for a BBQ and a night of music, song, and poetry. The Blasket Centre / Ionad an Bhlascaoid Mhóir honours the unique community who lived on the remote Blasket Islands until 1953. The Blasket Centre tells the story of island life, subsistence fishing and farming, modes of work and transport, home life, housing and entertainment.  See www.discoveringireland.com/vacations/the-blasket-centre/  

  • Ballintaggart Banquet$45.00 [approximately €40.00]
    On Wednesday evening a bus will depart for the banquet at the Ballintaggart House. The reception will begin at 6:00 pm and the dinner at 7:30 pm. Participants will enjoy a banquet meal and special presentations at the Ballintaggart House, a 300 year-old manor, situated at the entrance to Dingle Town, with spectacular views overlooking Dingle Bay as well as a traditional courtyard that once housed a large farm. Luxurious meals are created from locally-grown food. The evening will include addresses as well as several short presentations by organizations involved in working with the coastal environment. To register for the conference: 1) Complete the Conference Registration Form below. 2) Once you submit the Conference Registration form, you will be redirected to a web page with a link to pay the conference fee. Registration is not complete until payment is received. 3) Once you have paid the conference fee, if you wish to purchase tickets for the other events, click on the CONTINUE SHOPPING button on the left and then select “CONFERENCES” from the menu. You will see options to purchase tickets for the Tuesday night dinner at the Blaskets and the Wednesday night banquet at the Ballintaggart.
