We are currently utilizing our 8 state-of-the-art patient assessment suites to train and evaluate our PA students. Four of these suites use CAE LearningSpace and have video-recording capabilities that are utilized to schedule and record simulated clinical scenarios, utilizing standardized patients as well as clinical simulators. Our simulators include Harvey, a cardiopulmonary patient-simulator that provides high-fidelity heart and lung sounds, as well as multiple clinical scenarios. These facilities provide a safe, realistic and effective training environment and can be utilized by various courses in our curriculum.
CAE LearningSpace is a web-based platform that aides in the student mastery of clinical practices in the PA program. The clinical simulation allows students to view and record practice scenarios they would find in a real clinical setting in order to self-assess and develop ways to improve their clinical acumen.
