Incoming freshmen with a strong high school academic performance and an expressed interest in Communication and/or Sociology are eligible to join our accelerated five-year program, which leads to the completion of both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in five years. Students accepted into the accelerated program will begin their graduate studies during the second semester of their senior year, and can elect to pursue a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Media Production (BJMP), a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication & Public Relations or a Master of Arts in Sports Communication and Media (SCM).
By virtue of beginning their graduate work while still enrolled as undergraduates, students in the accelerated program receive a substantial discount on the overall cost of their graduate degree.

Students in the accelerated five-year SCPR program will take the graduate course CM 660 Crisis Communication in the spring of their senior year.
Master of Arts in Sports Communication and Media | SCM
