First-year students who are interested in Communications will spend the week getting an insider’s look into the lively media industries of New York City and Connecticut. Communications professors and upperclassmen join incoming freshman on day trips to exciting locations like NBC Studios in Stamford, ESPN Studios in Bristol and the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC as we get a behind the scenes look at television production and engage with the world of contemporary media. In addition students will attend and discuss theatrical film screenings, and create a short video production based on our experiences.
Students receive one academic credit for the program, and no prior production experience is necessary - just an interest in the exciting world of the film and television industries!
