FYPH 125, Talking with Socrates, Dr. Ken Knies
This seminar examines and attempts to participate in the conversational practice of Plato's Socrates. Readings selected from "early" dialogues that discuss individual virtues and "middle" dialogues concerning the relationship between virtue and knowledge.

FYPH 125, Thinking Time, Prof. Chris Paone
If you travel back in time, do you risk causing your parents not to meet and, as a result, cease to exist? If the technological inspiration for advanced artificial intelligence comes from a time-traveling android from the future, did the android invent itself? If you possess knowledge of your future life, can you take action to change your own future? Time travel, causal loops, the problem of free will and fate -- these puzzles and more will be addressed.
