Students who minor in Middle Eastern Studies may participate in the study abroad program sponsored through CCIS at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, about 37 miles from Fez, the ancient center of Moroccan culture and now designated as a World Heritage site. The study abroad program in Morocco includes both full semester and summer courses of study, in a host of disciplines, including Arabic, Islamic Culture, Religion, History, Politics, North African Studies, Anthropology and Sociology, and Women’s Studies.
