Cassandra Andreas

Adjunct Instructor - Voice

Mrs. Andreas is a talented and experienced performer and teacher.  She brings extensive international training and music performing experience to her teaching at Sacred Heart University.  During each one of her individual voice lessons, she gives of herself and in so doing makes each one of her students feel special.  It is clear through the wonderful relationships that she develops with her students that she is thrilled to be helping and encouraging them to discover, expand and further their own musical talents and skills through her patient and expert coaching.

She was the recipient of a United States Fulbright Grant and a Deutscher Akademisher Austauschdienst to the Hochschule fur Musik in Hamburg, Germany.  She toured as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Hamburg, and appeared on radio and television as a soloist with the Nord Deutchen Rundfunk Chorus.  She received a studio scholarship as a member of the Metropolitan Opera and made her formal New York debut at the Museum of Art Concert Hall.  She has sung major roles in opera productions across the United States and Germany.  In addition to her students at Sacred Heart University, she teaches privately and locally has been a soloist with the Cantabile Chorale and for churches in Saugatuck, Greenwich and Weston.

Cassandra has also shared her talents as a soloist with the University community, giving faculty recitals in 1994 and 2003.  Cassandra's warm and giving spirit, knowledge, experience and musicianship have enriched not only her students and the music program, but the entire Sacred Heart University community.
