“To provide the opportunity for each and every student to pursue their passion for dance; we execute: enthusiasm, goodwill, we pass no judgment, and consistently strive for both personal and physical growth. We aim to uplift one another in mind and spirit. Most of all, we always act with extreme integrity! Let’s DANCE!”
All new students interested in the Dance Company at Sacred Heart University must either audition in person or submit an audition video (your best work; not to exceed two minutes in length) for placement purposes.
Candidates will be selected on their ability, proven technical background, and performance in dance. For candidates who may have a natural talent in genres that require less technical training, e.g. Hip Hop, they should express keen choreography and performance. Each selected candidate may be eligible to receive $3,000 annually in a renewable Performing Arts Grant.
Please submit your digital video to: firstname.lastname@example.org and title your email: SHU Dance Company Audition Video. If for some reason you cannot submit a video or wish to audition in a different form, you must contact the Director of Dance, Scott Aliberti.
You must complete the dance survey if you are interested in the SHU Dance Program.
