Matthew Westerby is a New York-based choreographer originally from the UK. After his education at Laban (London), Westerby worked extensively with choreographer Thomas Small/Smallpetitklein before re-locating to the United States in 2005. He has since performed with choreographers including Nai-Ni Chen, Risa Jaroslow, Dusan Tynek, Jessica Gaynor, Peter Kyle, Sue Hogan, Tze Chun & Bronwen MacArthur. He established Matthew Westerby Company in 2009, now a non-profit organization. Westerby has also created original work for other companies - Covenant Ballet Theatre, Evolve Dance, the Hudson Guild Theatre Company, the Dancewave Companies and others. connection to music.
