SHU Ballroom Dance Ensemble accepts all students! We encourage both male and female students to take charge of their passion and join one of our newest additions to our Performing Arts Department. We believe there is no better way to relieve stress and put aside a long day of academics than dancing your Heart out! The purpose of this club is to help students develop confidence, grace, and knowledge of rhythm and dance. Students will participate in lead/follow activities and learn to Waltz, Fox Trot, Triple Swing, Single Swing, Salsa, Meringue, and Tango, and other styles. More details to follow!
SHU Dance Company
If your passion for dance runs deeper than it just being a hobby, this is for you. SHU Dance Company is for students who, not only want to dance, but continue to learn, grow, and perform. Each member will be selected based on their talent and willingness to commit their dedication and devotion to dance. Upon being selected into the company, each dancer may be eligible to receive a performing arts grant for dance, and will be expected to sign a participation agreement. Unfortunately, there is limited space in our company. If you love to dance and you think you have the discipline and talent, please do not hesitate to submit your audition video.
