Dance

‎‎SHU Dance Ensemble
Formerly known as SHU FORCE, we now offer dance as an official program within the already established Performing Arts. We accept all students, both male and female, interested in pursuing their passion for dance. The SHU Dance Ensemble is recreational and performance based, designed for the student that is seeking to dance their heart out a few days a week.  Each student will learn fantastic routines taught and choreographed by fellow students. Each dancer may be eligible to receive a Performing Arts Grant for dance, and will be expected to sign a participation agreement.

SHU Ballroom Dance Ensemble

SHU Ballroom Dance Ensemble accepts all students! We encourage both male and female students to take charge of their passion and join our dance program within our Performing Arts. We believe there is no better way to relieve stress and put aside a long day of academics than dancing your Heart out! Students will participate in lead/follow activities and learn to Waltz, Fox Trot, Triple Swing, Single Swing, Salsa, Meringue, and Tango, and other styles.

SHU Dance Company

Another section in our dance program within the Performing Arts is the SHU Dance Company. It is for all students, both male and female, interested in continuing their dance training after high school. It is a combination of general and academic dance classes. Take a variety of dance classes, taught by professional instructors. All your performances will be choreographed by dance professionals. You must audition to be in the Dance Company. Each member will be selected based on their talent and willingness to commit their dedication and devotion to dance. Upon being selected into the company, each dancer may be eligible to receive a Performing Arts Grant for dance, and will be expected to sign a participation agreement. If you love to dance and you think you have the discipline and talent, please do not hesitate to submit your audition video.
