With respect to modern foreign language studies abroad, during the academic year Sacred Heart University students may participate in the SHU-sponsored program at John Cabot University, or in one of the many SHU-approved programs through CCIS (College Consortium for International Studies) in countries such as Argentina, Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Mexico and Spain. 

Students have the opportunity to study Italian at John Cabot University during the summer or for the semester. During the summer, students can study Spanish at the University of Granada, another SHU-sponsored program.  Additional summer language programs are also available through CCIS, The European Studies Association (ESA), or other accredited United States institutions.
