Domenick Pinto, M.A., M.S.
Associate Professor, Chairperson and Graduate Program Director
Professor Pinto's teaching focus is Programming (C++, Visual Basic.net, Data Structures, Algorithms, C, Multimedia, and Logic), and his research includes Information Technology in Education and Multimedia. He began his teaching career with Sacred Heart University in 1976.
Professor Pinto has presented at various national and international conferences including ACM, SIGCSE, Conference on Teaching and Learning, and Educause. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Sears Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1990 and the Joe Grau Service Award in 1998 from Sacred Heart University, and an Excellence in Teaching Award in 1997 and 1999 at the Conference on Teaching and Learning in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a member of ACM, SIGCSE, University Senate and Academic Affairs Committee of Senate, College of Arts and Science Council of Chairpersons, and a member of the Scholarship Committee.
