News Story: October 21, 2015

SHU students and alumni now have another reason to believe in the powerful outcome of a Sacred Heart education. This month, the financial technology company SmartAsset released the findings of a new study that ranks SHU as one of the top 10 Connecticut schools by starting salary of its graduates.

The New York-based SmartAsset determined the ranking by measuring the cost of the University, including tuition, living expenses and financial aid offerings, against student retention and the average starting salary for graduates. SHU ranked sixth on the list of Connecticut colleges and universities with an average starting salary of $47,400.

The rankings are part of SmartAsset’s overarching study on the colleges providing students with the best overall value. To see an interactive map of the study’s full results, visit their website.
