Jean Shinoda Bolen: Indomitable Spirit in Activists and the Archetype of Artemis

Psychiatrist, Jungian analyst and internationally known author Jean Shinoda Bolen will present a lecture titled “Indomitable Spirit in Activists and the Archetype of Artemis” at Sacred Heart University on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. in the Schine Auditorium. The presentation will explore the myth of Artemis, the Greek goddess of the Sun and Moon, and her human counterpart, Atalanta, and will explore the way the characteristics in each of these women are manifested in today’s women and girls.

Bolen is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a former clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco and a past board member of the Ms. Foundation for Women and of the International Transpersonal Association.
