Rhea Paul Elected VP of International Association for the Study of Child Language
Professor Rhea Paul, chair of the Speech-Language Pathology Department in the College of Health Professions, was elected vice president of the International Association for the Study of Child Language (IASCL). The Association was founded to promote international and interdisciplinary cooperation in the study of child language and sponsors the triennial International Congress for the Study of Child Language. In addition to the congresses, the IASCL produces the Child Language Bulletin and publishes three leading journals in the field, First Language, the Journal of Child Language and the International Journal of Bilingualism, as well as the series, Trends in Language Acquisition Research. The Association assists colleagues in countries with difficult economic circumstances by providing subsidies for participation at the Congresses.
