MACOMM Students To Host SHU Media Exchange
Students in Sacred Heart University’s Master of Arts in Communication (MACOMM) program will host the inaugural SHU Media Exchange on Tuesday, May 29, in the University Commons on SHU’s Fairfield campus at 5151 Park Avenue. The evening begins with a reception at 6 p.m. and a panel discussion at 7 p.m.
A forum solely produced by this graduate-level class, SHU Media Exchange will encourage an open dialogue between the public and leading media professionals via a moderated panel and networking event. This year’s theme focuses on the expansion of Connecticut’s “Creative Corridor” and the rapidly emerging media industry in our state.
John Seigenthaler, former anchor of NBC Nightly News and current CEO of Seigenthaler Public Relations, will serve as the evening’s moderator. Featured panelists are Vinnie Fusco, general manager/executive in charge of NBC Universal Stamford Media Center; Meryl Moss, founder/president of Meryl Moss Media Relations; Bud Grebey, vice president of Corporate Communications at Tronox, Inc. and a board member of the Fairfield County Public Relations Association (FCPRA).
There will be a Q&A period after the panel discussion, followed by a networking reception. This event is free and open to the public.
The mission of the MACOMM program is to provide students with hands-on experience creating real-world multimedia productions for actual organizations, businesses, publications or media outlets.
